Configuring Printers

Enabling and Disabling Printers

To enable a printer on your network that has been previously disabled, access your Account Dropdown in the Action Bar and tap Settings then Printers.

Select the printer you want to enable, then tap Enable/Disable in the center column and switch on Enable Printer.

To disable a printer on your network or completely remove it, switch off Enable Printer.

If a printer has not been detected in 30 days, a Delete Printer option will appear in the Printer Settings list. Deleting a printer will remove it from the printer list completely, as long as it remains disconnected from your network.

If you connect the printer again later on and it is detected by Change, it will appear again in the printer list.

NOTE: Printer settings are saved to the device and do not sync across devices. This means printers need to be enabled, named, and assigned print jobs from each individual device.

Naming Printers

From your Account Dropdown in the Action Bar, tap Settings then Printers. Select a printer from the list, then tap Name in the center column. In the text field, enter the name of the printer. For instance, "Kitchen," "Front Counter," "Main," etc.

Once finished, tap Update.

NOTE: Printer settings are saved to the device and do not sync across devices. This means printers need to be enabled, named, and assigned print jobs from each individual device.

Configuring Print Job Types

You can send specific types of print jobs, such as customer checks and kitchen tickets, to different printers. To do this, tap your Account Dropdown in the Action Bar, tap Settings then Printers. Tap a printer in the list, then select Enable/Disable in the center column.

Enable the switch next to Enable Printer, then enable the switches next to the receipt types you want to send to this printer:

  • Customer Checks
  • Kitchen Tickets
  • Voided Tickets (For the kitchen)
  • Edited Tickets (For the kitchen)

To complete, tap Update.

NOTE: Printer settings are saved to the device and do not sync across devices. This means printers need to be enabled, named, and assigned print jobs from each individual device.
